Description of the project

The activities of the project team in India are dated back since 2001. The project was financed by the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic within its ODA programme.  The project has been focused on awareness raising in the area of environmental technologies, i.e. technologies with considerably lower impact on environment than conventional technologies in use in the country.  All activities have been focused on environmental technologies in the wastewater treatment area, both municipal and industrial. During the project implementation two technologies have been installed in India first focused on treatment and recycling of municipal waste waters and the other on recycling of oiled wastewaters from car washing.
Generally, potential for proposed technologies is vast in India, on the other hand the real acceptance is slow due to lack of environmental legislation and extensive bureaucracy.
