Building of expert and institutional capacity for application of
cleaner production in Moldovan industry by using train-the-trainee
approach. Development of supporting financial mechanisms for
application of cleaner production in Moldova. Development of
pollution prevention handbooks for use within the local industry,
with focus on food industry, agriculture and energy use.
Development of basis for National Cleaner Production
Programme. Trainings and projects are provided in close
co-operation with responsible branch ministries.
The project is primarily focused on companies with need of
end-of-pipe technologies. During the cleaner production
project relevant waste and energy streams in the company are
reduced with view of proper design of future technology and
minimising of needed financial resources.
During the first year of the project, more than 20 people have been
trained in cleaner production, and financial savings have reached
450.000 €. Basis for cleaner production supporting
system and National CP Programme has been laid down.
Consultants of CCPC have implemented 6 cleaner production projects
in companies within the first year of the project, this has been
done in the frame of total 6 visits of CCPC’s experts in Moldova,
in total extent of 6 man-months.
