Development of home assistance services – supply of medicel equipment
The objective of the project „Development of home assistance services – supply of medicel equipment“ was the purchase and supply of the stationary and mobile health equipment for home assistance centers in the south town of Cahul and village Dorotskaia on the left bank of the river Dniestr. The long-term objective of the project was to broaden the spectrum and improvement of service quality of both centers, in order to build sustainable base for long-term development of centers.
The expert staff of both centers was trained in using and day-to-day service of rehabilitational devices and medical equipment by the senior doctor from the Czech Republic.
In the frame of this project, the following medical equipment and rehabilitational devices were purchased and supplied:

On 7th December 2010 (only 3 weeks after signature of the contract with donor agency CzDA), and after securing of exemption from duty and VAT on import, the all madical material was handed over to the recipient agency. Approximatelly half of the supply was delivered to Dorotskaia village, after close consultations with the management of the recipient NGO.
On the following day, 8th of December 2010, the remaining medical equipment was handed over to the center in Cahul city, south of Moldova. In the frame of handing-over procedure, the local medical staff was trained how to use the medical equipment, especially with the view to secure long-time and sustainable use of motopeds and phototherapy equipment.
